1. rain as far as the eye can see
I'm looking forward to a week from this Saturday, when (according to the NWS forecast) there is actually a 0% chance of precipitation!

6. Hi Kathy!
I was actually referencing a week from the gathering; I think it's supposed to be cloudy and chance of rain on Saturday. but at least it will be warm, and not smoky in there (apologies to smokers in the crowd, but I hate coming out of a bar smelling like an ashtray).

2. No kidding-we are supposed to get 2.5" Today!
I don't even want to go outside! Yesterday the traffic was terrible-it took me 40 minutes to go 4 miles yesterday (Cambridge to Medford)!

11. McGrath (28) and the Fellsway through Wellington
It was bumper-to-bumper through several light cycles. Horrible.

Under 1/2 inch of rain in Mobile, AL. Normal is 7 inches. Clear and cool for the next few days at least.

7. Massachusetts had beautiful weather while I was there
The climate was absolutely wonderful when I was in Boston –a nice moderate temperature that was not too hot and not too cold.

8. I am going to need a canoe in my back yard!
OK, so I was just in my basement. we bit of water coming in. YIKES! So I put on my rain slicker and go poking around the gutters on my house. Man, were they clogged! I had to declog them. I am cold, wet and freaked out by all this water. My house is on the side of a hill and my yard slopes down. The back of my yard is bout 300 feet from my house. Flooded! Looks like a small pond. Waiting for ducks to land any minute. If Dick Cheney pops from from a duck blind down there, I am gonna scream! Maybe I will send my kookie dogs after him.

12. The problem with Boston: hills and low-lying sea-level land that floods
I wouldn't suggest driving Storrow Drive today, unless you have an amphibious vehicle!

Easier to navigate the Charles River. Oh great, the rain is coming in sideways right now.

On edit:

Would you pet that white cat on the belly for me. Is the black place where you're supposed to pet her?

14. It's a he (Noah). He is a pretty boy. Reno (black cat) is handsome.
Noah's nickname is 'Belly Boy' because he lays on his back a lot and likes his belly rubbed. Reno is very affectionate also-real lap cats.

roads sucky, potholes growing, streams overflowing and the next batch of really heavy rain is moving in later. Man your battle stations!
