Could the NEW CaliforniaPeggy coffee table book POSSIBLY be BETTER than her FIRST TWO? YES!

California Peggy's new book, "F CK (the only thing missing is YOU)" is more than the third book from one of the literary world's most prolific authors.

It is...without resorting to hyperbole...the single greatest book ever written by anyone, EVER.

Loosely following the format of her two previous books, "F CK" contains the memorable words and breathtaking images of CaliforniaPeggy, broken into themes that form each of the book's ten chapters.

In the "Dining Out" chapter, the author serves up the poems "No Fucking Shirt, No Fucking Shoes, No Fucking Service," "No Fucking Substitutions," and "Did You Folks Save Some Fucking Room For Dessert?"

As in her first book "F-Stops & F-Bombs," the f-bombs fly fast and furious, but you never get the feeling that they are gratuitous or thrown in simply for shock value. Rather, just as Miles Davis ventured into modal explorations with his 1958 classic "Milestones," CaliforniaPeggy uses the word "fuck" as the clay that spins on her potter's wheel.

There is actually one poem in the book that does not contain the word "fuck," but we have been informed by her publisher, Random Fucking House, that this was a typo which slipped through to the first press run, and will be corrected in subsequent editions (thus making the first edition of "F CK" an instant collectors item).

The book goes on sale beginning March 1st. Amazon began accepting pre-orders for the book today.

8. So WTF indeed...over half a century later and the genius still shines.
I have "So What" on a mix CD that never leaves my car:

1). Wayne Shorter / Deluge
2). Wayne Shorter / Mahjong

3). Wayne Shorter / Witch Hunt
4). Wayne Shorter / Speak No Evil

5). Wayne Shorter / The Big Push

6). Herbie Hancock / Maiden Voyage

7). Miles Davis / So What

8). John Coltrane / Equinox

9). John Coltrane / My Favorite Things

79 minutes of sheer joy, and the insane thing is that anyone could go to iTunes, for 99 cents a track, and "build" this CD for $8.91...

13. "So WTF" is unique in several ways.
The chords in the intro have notes separated by 4ths instead of 3rds. Miles's solo in this tune on the Kind of Blue album is endlessly inventive, and bluesy. This tune could have been called "The Picture of Dorian Blue" (pun intended).

Usually I buy tunes one at a time on iTunes. I bought the CD Kind of Blue, because practically every track is something I want to own.

9. Yes, there is always a very emotional side to the collected works of CaliforniaPeggy
For no additional cost, when you purchase one of her books, you get a free lump in the throat.

14. I'm thrilled that Amazon is taking
pre-orders. I'd just hate to be left out and not get a book from the first run.

AV . . . because you are on the pulse of CalPeg's literary activities, do you know if she'll grace us with a book signing? I sure hope so! *SIGH*
