Are you a yuppie?
Now be honest....

...do you drink Lattes?
...do you drive a yuppie car (BMW, Mercedes, Volvo...you know whut i mean)
...do you shop at Banana Republic or Express?
...do you epitomize the defintion of yuppie (Young Urban Professional)?
...do you eat at bistros?

I'm sure you can think of more, but if you answer yes to any of these questions...you are, in fact, a yuppie.

I plead the fifth personally...

I also know far too much about wine, do my grocery shopping at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, and will pay anyone to do anything just so that I don't have to do it.

44. I always want to apologize to the people who
work at Whole Foods and let them know that I am not a Mercedes- driving, snooty, helmet-headed snob. I don't like going in there for that reason... that it is jammed with these folks. I really dislike those folks, mainly because they are rude and intolerant. I don't mind that they have money, I mind that they care little about others, and have a sense of entitlement. I wish they and their Mercedes would suddenly be transported into a third world country so that they could see that whatever kind of cheese they want is actually not the most important thing in the world. Sorry. Where did that come from? Phew.

No but some may say otherwise. Live in a modest 2 bedroom condo, won't contaminate my coffee with anything and I drink the strongest, blackest cup of Peets. 38 years old, BS degree, earn a decent salary with Fortune 500 Co but am obsessive about modest spending and saving (the way the Repukes are borrowing the country into the red I expect to need every cent in the future). Live across the river from the fifth biggest city, drive a pick up truck, love wine/micro brew beer and occasionally make my own, like good restaurants/gourmet cooking but can't stand pricy trendy/faddish ones. Outside of work I’m strictly jeans and tea shirts and where them until they are literally falling apart. I’m a die hard sports fan and love the passionate and some times obnoxious blue collar aspect of my cities sports fans.

I don't drink coffee (except Zomby Coffee).
I have a 10-year-old Infiniti (but I've always wanted a BMW; might buy myself a used one someday).
I've shopped at Banana Republic (but only the Outlet stores)
Young? I'm 35. Urban? I live in a city. Professional? State Gov't. Drone.
Bistros? Not exclusively.

So, I have some yuppie tendencies, but I stopped wearing my deck shoes without socks years ago. :-)
