Like the type to sit and ponder over issues and stuff. He's probably just got some friend who's a repube who convinced him that's the best.

When has Adam Sandler ever shown any public preoccupation with foreign policy in general or Israeli issues in particular?
I don't think he's ever made any serious public statement about any FP issue other than possibly the straight-foward "support the troops" no-duh.

I've heard and read plenty of evidence that Kelsey Grammer and Drew Carey are really nice people. Completely removed from politics, I've heard and read also that Dennis Miller is one of the biggest assholes in show biz.
Both Kelsey and Drew have gone through really hard things in their lives, which I think reflects itself in how they treat "the little people" personally, even if they can't extrapolate that politically in who they do or don't vote for.

whose work I don't enjoy at all anymore. Sandler, I mostly find mildly amusing. Occasionally, I laugh out loud. Drew Carey is funny. I'm not a big fan, but I do find him funny. And Kelsey Grammer is Frasier *and* Sideshow Bob. I'll always appreciate him for those rolls.
Dennis Miller just seems unfunny to me now. It even colors his earlier work, just thinking about the way he is lately.
Well, I do have to give Dennis Miller one thing. He was in one of my favorite movies of all time.

38. 2 reason's I'll never gang up on Kelsey is what I've heard some Simpsons writers or producers say |
|
about why they keep bringing him back, basically that he's a pleasure to work with. And 2: If you ever hear the history of his early life, it's amazingly tragic. I can totally grant him a few drinking/sexing scandals and some disagreements politically for the good stuff he brings to the table. I always thought he should play Eisenhower in a somewhat related inclusion. He was the last Republican president I like and Kelsey is one of the few Republican celebrities I feel the need to defend.

39. I like David Spade more than most snarky, jealous, internet people do |
|
and I can assure you he leans left. He said on one of the most recent interviews I heard of him (although it could have been a taped old interview from Howard Stern years ago I forget) that he was basically apolitical, and didn't dare venture into political opinionating.
But he got on board for Kerry in '04 at atleast one event where he was one of the marquee promotions.

Funny thing, there are some that think because some group puts out a script, or something, that the story in that script is the same story everyone sees.
There are many stories in many pieces of many things. You have to see past the blockers.

Once I hear that about someone I can't forget it, I mean I can't see them at all without thinking of it. I won't watch a second of someone like that that I don't have to, it turns me off completely. That's how silly I am about it

he went to the Letterman show. It was election time, so Dave asked him who he was going to vote for. He said ne didn't follow those things, and that "my daddy tells me who to vote for".

32. I think he's a very moderate one. I try not to automatically hate someone just because they're Repub |
|
Usually Republicans happen to have a bunch of other qualities that make them hatable.
I think Sandler's dad was probably a Republican and he's the kind of guy who just wants to be like his dad politically, but doesn't have as much animosity towards Democrats as typical Republicans you see in media.
It's not like he discriminates against liberal actors and directors being involved with his projects.
His hanger-on Allen Covert seems to be more hardcore/annoying of a republican. Who influenced who is anybody's guess.

I'm betting everyone in this thread has heard and laughed and enjoyed Sandler's Hannukkah Song. Its sheer genius. He's actually done some funny stuff from time to time. Do I think everything he does is funny...nooooo but the whole he's a republican of course he's not funny is as stupid as his character from the Waterboy. I have some conservative Jews in my family, its probably because he's pro-Israel more than anything else
