Poll question: The ULTIMATE Keef riff? NOT necessarily the best Stones song, just the best RIFF.
EXAMPLE: You may consider "Satisfaction" to be your favorite Stones song, but maybe you think the riff in "Monkey Man" is the superior riff. So that would be the one you vote for.

Also, I only had nine spots and went in more or less chronological order, so if "Start Me Up" is your fave, it'w also "OTHER."

1. I dunno about any of that BUT...
Last night for the first time I heard the Rolling Stones' song called "Heaven" from Tattoo You.

I couldn't believe it was them. I loved it.

2. There are a number of worthwhile tracks on the Ron Wood-era albums...
...even though most people focus exclusively on the "hits."

3. Hard for me to believe this is not on there...

.
...but I never really focused on his guitar work, so undoubtedly there
are finer examples, but I can STILL play along NOTE-FOR-NOTE in my head
with the guitar work in "Sympathy for the Devil"

8. I know a lot of people love that song...
...but as a guitar player and a Stones fan, I picked the nine songs which I felt had the greatest "gut punch"...for me...in terms of the riff. There's not a song in my nine that I'd consider removing to make room for "Sympathy"...

I remember playing with a group of musicians from work, a couple of decades ago...one of these after-hours things where we had permission to go to the warehouse and jam (we actually set up in the lunch room...it was like our own little club.

And the primary difference between me and the guys I was playing with was that I like heavier stuff and we weren't playing much of that. So I said "Why don't we play something by The Who?"

And the bass player said "How about 'Don't Let Go The Coat!'" (from "Face Dances").

My fucking jaw dropped. The two worst albums in their history...even Pete Townshend only pulls one song from each for compilations and box sets ("You Better You Bet" from "Face Dances" and "Eminence Front" from "It's Hard")...I'm thinking "Won't Get Fooled Again" or "Baba O'Reilly" and this guy's thinking "Don't Let Go The Coat."

6. It's probably my personal favorite...
with maybe "Gimme Shelter" second and "Jumpin' Jack Flash" third.

7. Brown Sugar.
Just a personal preference. Instantly identifiable in one note.
