What's with "The Darkness?"
I just heard "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and I'm wondering: does the singer know he sounds like the bastard son of Gary Glitter and Tiny Tim?

1. Ironic Drama School Graduates who think it's funny to be Def Leppard.

3. Yeah, but are they serious?
They don't sound at all like Leppard to me... more of a 70's influence, but the vocals are absurd!

I hated the Offspring until I realized that they didn't take themselves seriously, then I was able to laugh along with them.

The Dorkness... I just don't know what to make of them.

I don't think they take themselves too seriously.

13. I suppose they sound more Guns and Roses or Glammy.
It's the clothes, I always think of the mighty Lep when I see them.

6. Actually, I don't mind the song so much...
I love that 70's arena rock stuff... but the singer... with that Julia Childs falsetto... I find it disturbing.

8. I loved glam rock ... and I like his voice
Reminds me of Freddie. Okay, more over the top, but hey, I'm desperate for falsetto. :)

9. I'd say he wants to be Freddie Mercury.
But he doesn't come close. Freddie had a voice!

10. I've been jonesing for his voice for so long
Forgive me for taking pleasure in a rather poor imitation. I can't help myself!

Plus he's so funny, squirming around in those frilly clothes!

11. Apparently they are serious about what they do musically
but also have a sense of humor. Read a recent article where they noted this. I think they are a hoot.

12. I enjoy the song "Get Your Hands Off My Woman"
The chorus is:

"GET YOUR HANDS OFFA MAH WOOMAN MOTHERFUUUUUCKER!"

:D

I enjoy them, because I think irony is fun.
