Poll question: Would you apologize?
Would you apologize for something you posted on DU because another DUer 'demands an apology'?

2. Sometimes even if I don't feel there was a reason
I'll apologize anyway just to smooth things over. Depends on the situation.

5. Depends on what you did
If it is something that can be viewed as an attack on someones beliefs or principals- then maybe. If you where just stating your opinion and they took offense then no.

6. I try (TRY) not to offend...
and if I do it's more likely than not an unintended side-effect of whatever I'm saying. So I would go with #3..

:bounce:

7. I never apologize merely to smooth things over.
If they convinced me I was wrong, I'll apologize.

If I don't feel i was wrong, but that I did state my message in too harsh or confrontational a manner, I will apologize for that, and restate wheat i meant to write.

9. Are you at fault for something?
If so, then apologize.

You don't have to apologize for disagreeing, only being disagreeable.

12. only if I did something wrong
I find the demands for apologies really silly. Do people REALLY get offended from a message board?
