To me, this is the world's greatest love song

I think everyone, at least once in their lifetime, should experience a love so great it would remind you of this song. Even I hope it could happen to me one day!

I will say - Be careful what you wish for.

The lyrics for that song are all in the past, Something ended.

We hope for, "As you wish." (Princess Bride reference.)

Some times we get ( and the name was right Jo=Joannie, also the time, since the tune came out the same time my heart was bleeding )

I would wish for you a love that lasts.
eta - lasts as a pair, not burns as a painful loss.

3. Robert Smith wrote the song for his wife and Smith was a Goth
So it has a bit of darkness to it, doesn't make it any less romantic

2. A few months ago, I'd say "you're wrong".
Experiencing a love like that isn't all it's cracked up to be - especially when she just throws you away for no reason at all after 19 years.

But, you know, with a little more time and perspective, I realize that I've had a wild, passionate ride. I've felt such intense happiness, and such intense pain. I've really lived and experienced this thing they call love. And I'm better for it.

Someday, I'll resemble a man again. And if it happened once, it *could* happen again.

P.S. Love the song. I had forgotten about that one!

7. SO right! Everything The Cure does falls into that category
even if it's about the destruction left in the wake of a great love.
