Having a bit of fun at the literal expense of RWers.

The link above is a shortened link to a Google ad-link off the DU Homepage for the Charles G. Koch Foundation. Every time a unique user clicks it, it costs one of the cretin Koch brothers money. Every time a unique user clicks it, it contributes money to DU. It's a few cents in both cases but both add up.

Also, they're seeking applicants for their "associate" (paid-internship) program. ~70 openings, usually get 200-300 applicants. Hey. we're underworked. We're interested in politics and the public good. I think several thousand of us might be qualified to apply; if a few of us get hired all the better. Leftie moles in the FreedomWorks or Heritage Foundation offices on the Koch Brothers dime.

So what I want to know is this. Would it be wrong to post this to GD early on a Sunday morning where it might generate 10,000 click-through? I think it'd be mighty funny if the largest recipient of Google-Ad revenues off their ad was DU. Us. The enemy of their espoused free-market ideals and "Market-Based Management(TM).

1. Whatever ANYONE does, DO NOT click it more than once...
You could have the clicks flagged as click fraud and cost the Admins their adsense account. I seem to remember running across a script or code at one time that can be installed that disables ads on an IP basis after said IP has clicked on 3 ads or so during a 24 hour period.

Also, as long as you're not connected to DU in any official capacity, I don't think it's against adsense policy for you to encourage others to click on the ads, but it certainly is against their policy for the account holder to do so...

Just a little heads up...

Peace,

Ghost
