Favorite East Coast Inlet named after a West Coast state? |
|
I vote for Oregon Inlet which separates Hatteras Island and Bodie Island, which is actually a peninsula, and if the inlet wasn't there Bodie Island/Peninsula would actually be an isthmus.
So anyway, what's your favorite East Coast inlet named after a West Coast state?
I value your input.

I was born in New Bern, near the Pamlico Sound but now live on the coast of Oregon. We do have a Tarheel Lane in town.

Named after Washington State, and the appearance of many of its residents.
now a fine Delaware microbrewery with great beers.
Actually a peninsula and not an inlet on an island off the coast of Maine.

18. But it is a very good beer. What else matters? |
|
The peninsula simply took its name from the appearance of native Washingtonians.
Or so I've heard.
