Band of Horses - The Funeral
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMFWFhTFohk

I'm coming up only to hold you under
I'm coming up only to show you wrong
And to know you is hard; we wonder
To know you all wrong; we were.

Really too late to call,
So we wait for morning to wake you
That's all we got
to know me as hardly golden
Is to know me all wrong, they were.

At every occasion I'll be ready for the funeral
Every occasion, once more, it's called the funeral
Every occasion, know I'm ready for the funeral
At every occasion, oh, one billion day funeral

I'm coming up only to show you down,
For I'm coming up only to show you wrong.

To the outside: the dead leaves, they're on the lawn
Before they died, had trees to hand their hope

And every occasion
I'll be ready for the funeral
And every occasion once more
It's called the funeral
And every occasion
Oh, I'm ready for the funeral
Every occasion
Of one billion day funeral

1. Interesting song.

Here is the thing, since I never really followed any doctrines, and just tried, although also failed at times, to do what I felt or thought was best.

I wasn't wrong that often, but was also always wrong, since not exactly right.

It was only during periods of learning a variety of doctrines, and then feeling the effect of thinking those doctrines that you end up learning parts that are not the best teachings.

So much of life is not about being wrong, it is about overshoot, then undershoot, then overshoot, then undershoot, as you go down the path that matches your heart and thought anyways.

When someone teaches you a doctrine, you filter through it, and the stuff that does not make sense to your heart and thought, you don't think on as much, and keep the learning from the stuff that makes sense.

Not sure about the funeral part. Whos funeral is it talking about?

Although on that concept, I been to a couple funerals, always amazed how many people, some people knew. I not sure I would want to be at my funeral, it would be depressing since most of the people I have known in life, I only knew for awhile, then met new people. Don't think very many people would notice my passing. So the funeral concept of thoughts like in that song I don't really think about.

I'm not sure I understand that song, can you explain it a bit?

On a side note, I am still due beer and travel money, and many experiences (without drinking and driving of coarse)

2. Excellent song
One of the best songs of the last 10 years. Like it because it reminds of the shoe gazer music of the early 90s.
