Who else has pencil graphite embedded under their skin? |
|
Where is it? And have you noticed any changes over the years?

junior high! It was after lunch in science or history class, we were all talking about new color TV shows, you know, which was better - Jetsons or Bonanaza, and our family had the first color TV on the block. You flew into a jealous rage! Thanks for reminding me some guy gave me this scar so long ago.

it was some *other* guy you're thinking of.
The only kid I stabbed with a pencil (and broke the tip off in) was in the right shoulder. That's how I can go through this thread and determine which ones weren't me. O8)

I accidentally stabbed myself in the palm, and a school friend stabbed me in the knee. I never really knew why he did it. It's been about 35 years, and they're both fading.

But yeah I think it was just part of the brother/sister thing, we got along really well - he was just experimenting.
Or maybe it was pay back for the time I stuffed Desitin up his nose or covered him from head to toe with baby powder. :-)

That's a LONG time. Was horsing around with a classmate and got stuck just below my left pectoral. The last time I looked for it, it was still there with no changes. Of course, I have a rather hirsute chest, which makes it difficult to see the graphite.

I saw that same stuff, although I removed it in my situation.
Basically some groups use 'drugging' as a long term punishment they feel they should impose on some person or type of person.
Some use hypnosis and spells in the same way, so that is mostly metaphor.

Being stuck is not relevant, how you handle that is.
And yea, had a needle stuck in my neck at a bar. When I would not ignore a crime that was happening.
Was Poisoned by a GF that was after an insurance check.
Drugged at bars when someone put something in my beer.
Someone put shit in food at bar also.
Drugged at a facility I was scouting after my family was threatened.
Even saw a guy with a sniper rifle walk into a garage across the street, then a red light from a laser pointer while on back porch a few years ago.
And a few other things.
So still being alive, is a miracle for sure, thank God.
And I am still due beer and travel money and many experiences.

I was stabbed plenty of times with pencils as a kid, because (1) I grew up with 3 brothers and (2) I'm fairly uncoordinated with pointy/sharp objects.
And I don't have any residual graphite or visible tatoos.

Edited on Tue Mar-08-11 11:26 AM by Richardo
When I was the aforementioned teenage junior-high-school klutz, I used to walk around with a pencil (and/or pen) in my front pants pockets. Many's the time I sat down and got a jolt of pain as the implement punctured me in what I'll euphemistically call "my upper thigh". Still - no embedded graphite remains.
:hi: Bun... er Stabby!! :loveya: :pals: :hide:

47. No, but it reminds me |

of an autobiographical comic from the late 80s/early 90s. It wasn't Harvey Pekar, I know that. Besides, this had to do with a bar fight, and I don't recall Harvey writing about that ;)
Anyway, the writer in this story starts off with a piece of glass sitting on his pillow when he wakes up. It was a small shard, like the size of a BB, but significant nonetheless. It turns out he had been in a bar fight where someone had stabbed the broken end of a bottle directly down on the crown of his head. Some shards remained in his skull and scalp, I guess because they won't show up on x-ray, and they're inert, like graphite.
Over the years (I think it was like 16 or 20 since the fight) little bits of glass would slowly pop out of his head like that, pushed out by normal growth or whatever. So, y'all might see those bits of graphite eventually push their way out of you. If it's a really cool story, get someone to make an autobiographical comic panel out of it :D
