from that store?
Gift from sister, I've never actually been to Ikea. Strange textured batter, I'm guessing this isn't the rye for patty-melts.

3. Haven't seen it, but perhaps it's for that very moist superdense rye one can get in Europe: |
|
a one-pound loaf is about is 3" x 4" x 4", chewy, sliced about as thick as a barley grain, with a visual texture something like a bunch of barley grains stuck together. THAT stuff is fantastic! I'd use it for grilled cheese sandwich any day I could get it: heat a closed skillet, drop a few slices in with thin-cut Jarlsberg atop, put the hot lid back on and let it sit a few minutes, then remove the slices with a pancake turner (slices are somewhat fragile, being so damp and heavy, and may stick to skillet) -- then scarf down. Mmmm!

5. yep, that is exactly how it came out |
|
one slice must have enough fiber for a week! Some tangy cheese seems like it would be good or just ice cold butter.

6. Melt some brie on it. Or put on thin-sliced cucumber or tomato and melt some crumbled |
|
bleu cheese over the top.
