My hypothesis about Bigfoot

Now now - I don't think there is such thing as an upright, hairy, huge Yeti or anything.

But the fact that this form has showed in other parts of the world partially validates my hypothesis.

A fake. Guy in a suit. Or he could be exactly whom I propose as bigfoot.

Feral human.

OK take a baby or child that somehow gets in the wild. Beast takes over and this human will have to take care of him or herself. Chances are, they'd be a little afraid at us, as this person would have no idea what a human looked like. The person might watch from afar, but I doubt they would make the conclusion that they too, are human. Look at those big metal animals they travel in! Something like that might kill and eat me.

But chances are this human has learned to hunt, and does both ambush hunting and gathering.

If, somehow, that hunter kills a bear, being the human being he or she is, would eat the bear, and use the bear fur as a suit. It gets cold where many people see Bigfoot. And being a wanderer, even in summer said human would have to wear their bear suit all the time, so as to not lose it.

Let's take a look at this guy again:




That looks like bear fur he's in, at least to me.

Now there's the 'big foot' part of Bigfoot. Again, being human and skilled at hunting, said bear suit would have bear paws on it. Scoop out the meat and bone, and you've got yourself a pretty nice shoe. After a while, the skin would dry, and take on more of the characteristics of the human's foot. But it would be bigger, depending on the density of the bear paw.

Then of course the "HUGE BIG SCARY CREATURE!!!" If you came across a feral human, wearing a bearskin all over his body, chances are you'd be scared. Chances are you might have been thinking about 'Bigfoot' while hiking or whatever you're doing in the forest. Maybe your hiking partner jokingly said "This is BIGFOOT country out here!"

Your mind plays tricks. You think you saw something much bigger. And so it goes.

Rather surprising book, well worth a read. Seems that the evidence for ol' Patty isn't quite so easily dismissed.
