Poll question: Top Chef fans check in - who do you think will win it all (final four) *SPOILERS* |
|
Not sure why I still have to put spoilers in - either you don't watch the show or you're in a #*(#%^^ coma for life.
I was sad to see Carla go because I think she has more talent than the other 4 combined - at least more than Tiffany. But she obviously does not work well under pressure. So my money is on Antonia or better yet, anyone other than that pompous ass Richard Blais. I know he's talented but I just don't like him.

1. I actually like Richard. |
|
I thought he should have won his season. I liked Dale, too. There was no one really noxious in All-Stars since that horse's ass Marcel got sent home, but now I see he's getting his own "molecular gastronomy" show on some other network. I'd bet that it will be Richard or Antonia.

2. Richard reminds me alot of Stefan - not an asshole but just smug |
|
and I dont' like smug when it comes to cooking.
Dale was smug during his season but this season he was much more likeable.

5. Richard has the talent to win. |

Like him or not, he has what it takes to win.
I was glad to see Carla go. I never cared for her style of cooking. I don't know why Tiffany is still in there. Dale should've been in her spot. Tiffany will be the next to go.
It'll be Antonia, Richard, and Mike in the final three, with Blais coming out on top (finally).

i used to be a blais fan, but i'm over him and i think antonia can give him a run for his money.
i'm honestly shocked that tiffany has made it this far. i go back and forth on mikey.

8. What's so weird about Carla is that she won so many challenges |
|
and Tiffany none (or maybe one?)
Sometimes these people for with overall success and sometimes just solely based on the last performance.
Richard to me, is an ahole...but he's probably the best left.

9. Carla either was super hot or super sucked |
|
And it all boiled down to pressure.
She should have won her season but she was so stressed in the finally she let that other chef tell her how to cook instead of doing the cooking that got her into the finals.
Dale should be in the finals not Tiffany but that's just me.
Can't stand Mike I but after that whole geneology thing finding out he was Antonia's distant cousin, well that warmed me up a bit to him but I still dont' want him to win.
My money is on Antonia because she seems way more sincere than Richard.

10. Carla was her own worst enemy. |
|
She should have had the Gulf challenge in the bag easily. But I think she begins to doubt herself, which leads to disaster.
As for who will win, personalities and Tiffany aside, this is a tough one to call. Antonia has been very strong down the stretch; much more so than Stephanie (winner of the Chicago season) and Jennifer (Vegas season). So I'm hoping that she'll be able to break through that glass ceiling. But she, Blais, and Mike are all strong so I think it will come down to how comfortable any one of the three are with the final challenge. I will be shocked if any of them go home tonight.
And yes, Dale should be there, but it's his own fault that he isn't.

12. Stephanie was pretty strong down the stretch |
|
She hit a speed bump in the middle of the season, but she was in the top 3 every week for the last several weeks of the season and won a couple of those challenges too (in addition to winning the final, of course). Antonia has been strong, though it seems she got a little bit fortunate last week. It's not the first time this season she has thought she was going to go home. I'm glad she stayed, though--I liked Carla too, but I've been pulling for Antonia here.
I think Blais is obviously talented, but his insistence that he choked, that he deserved to win, that Stephanie didn't win so much as he lost, etc., gets pretty old. Looking at the season as a whole, he didn't outperform her. They both won the same amount of challenges (not counting Stephanie's win in the finale) and she had more weeks in the top than he did. So it's not as though she was Hosea to his Stefan.

11. I really don't want Tiffany to win. |

I'm not a huge Mike fan, either, but I have disliked Tiffany pretty much all the way through the season. I think Richard or Antonia either one could win it and I'd be ok with the outcome.

14. ***Spoiler Warning***** |
|
Stop reading now if you don't want to know the outcome!!!
So, they bitch about Mike's fish being oily--his use of butter--and then they name him the winner. I do not get it, I really don't.
Tom whines that Antonia diced her conch too small and he can't taste it (in spite of the fact that the locals who actually EAT conch regularly loved it...) and they couldn't find much about Richard's dish to dislike except for how the lobster was cooked, yet they give Mike the win.
Un-freaking-believable!
The only thing I agreed with was sending Tiffany home.

15. Have to hand it to Mike I. though... |
|
He studied up on the Island food and knew how to release that conch by boiling it - no one else seemed to have a clue how to get the meat out and they were hammering away at it.
Right now I think it could be any of them for the win. I kind of feel the same about all of them at this point -- that is, I think they are all really good.
