In need of some advise for my daughter
My son in law took his 2002 Pontiac to Walmart for service last month. They were only supposed to change the oil and filter plus top off all fluids. My daughter now says that the car's brake lines are leaking because someone at Walmart put power steering fluid in the master brake cylinder. She talked to the Walmart service person who denies making such a mistake and that they "don't even go on that side of the car". They are looking at $2,000 to flush out the system replace all the brake lines. What recourse does she have because right now they're not owning up to it.

Or does your state have some agency that deals with consumer issues?

3. the brake lines are shot
something in the power steering fluid corroded them. I'm also told that any rubber parts in the system are ruined too.

take whatever your proof is (???), the estimate for repair (and you might want to get another - that seems REALLY high), and the receipt for the original bad service to an attorney. Or file in small claims court - you will likely be assigned an arbiter. If you have the evidence it should be easy to get a judgment. May have to pay for the repairs first - so again, might want another estimate.
