When is the last time you wrote and mailed a letter?

1. I like to write letters. And it seems that the recipents enjoy getting them.

Maybe I am just old-fashioned, but there is something different about sitting down to write a letter instead of emails. But I also have lots of older relatives across the country who don't have a computer.

2. Today!

I wrote a letter to insert into a thank you card to the CEO regarding the job interview I had yesterday.

I thanked him, briefly explained why I was removing myself from candidacy and wished him luck.

I hope there's a qualified person out there for whom this is the right opportunity. But it wasn't the right opportunity for me.

I hope he gets the letter before he calls me for a second interview, IF he does. I really wonder if he will. To me, it was clear that we were never going to develop the kind of professional chemistry we would need to work so closely together.

I wrote a little one yesterday, for a young boy who is very ill, and who wants to receive one million cards before he dies.

I think it qualifies as a letter, anyway.

It's been a long time since I did anything like that.
