Woohoo! After 6 years on DU, I just hit 300 posts!

I am on a roll!
As I pause to reflect at this milestone moment, I am amazed at the things that have happened in these past 6 years.
Last month I received my associates degree after 27 years of taking classes here and there.So far it hasn't helped this old bag of bones find a job, but I feel really good about it. And my husband and kids do, too.
I have become a grandmother, something I wasn't expecting so soon but I sure can't imagine life without my two beautiful grandsons.
And I couldn't imagine getting through the national/worldwide events without the news and commentary from the fine folks here at DU!

3. True that, being with the grandsons is great

but also much more tiring than when my kids were little.
And I have to keep an eye on this world for them!!

6. Yes, I have to say my life is pretty wonderful.

My family does not have a lot of money, but we sure laugh a lot. Well, we argue some, too, but at the end of the day, we have each other and we know what is important!
