2. One winter on the Kentucky/Tennessee border... where we DID get cold and snow...
.
.
.
...I had adopted a stray Siamese cat wandering around hungry and shivering
with no tags and no report to the local Humane Society and I rescued a young
German Shepherd from the assholes a few houses (trailers, actually) down from
me. They kept it outside with no shelter on a short chain fastened overhead
and didn't appear to feed it -- the poor fella's ribs were almost breaking
through his skin. I simply went down and said it looked like it was just a hassle
for them to have to keep it and I would take it off their hands if they wanted.
They went for it.
.
.
.
Anyways, the two got along great. Their favorite game? The cat would stalk
the dog... running out from behind something when it was laying down and
not looking and POUNCING on his head and running away... only to strike
again when the dog settled down.
.
After two or three times (that dog was a SWEETheart, but not the brightest
star in the skies), the dog would SLAP its paw down on the cat as it came
running up. It would then put the cat's head in its mouth, clamp down gently,
and slowly move its head back-and-forth. This'd drive the cat fucking BONKERS...
and when the dog released it, it would run away snarling.
.
.
.
Only to come back and start the game over in about 5-10 minutes.
.
.
.
.
.
The first time I witnessed this, I JUMPED towards them shouting... thinking
it was curtains for the kitty.
.
.
.
