Fox News: New ‘Wonder Woman’ Outfit Lacks Patriotism

Foxnews.com say David E. Kelley’s character has lost her “patriotic costume in favor of ‘globalized’ duds.”

The Wonder Woman costume for NBC’s remake of the 1970’s series has been revealed, and is stirring up some controversy -- from Fox News.

FoxNews.com featured a piece Friday which took issue with the loss of Wonder Woman’s stars and stripes. The new outfit from David E. Kelley’s pilot was revealed on Friday.

“The new and allegedly improved Wonder Woman (a.k.a Diana Prince) has been given a head-to-toe makeover by artist Jim Lee, replacing her signature American flag decorated briefs with skintight…pants and purging the super hero of all her trappings of Americana,” the story claims.

So, the old costume had bare legs and stars on her shorts... I see stars, but not a flag.

The new costume is basically the same except tights cover the legs and no stars on the tights

22. Faux News ought to look at the US Code

Faux News ought to do a quick review of the United States Code, specifically the parts to do with the flag before opening their pie holes. Especially this part of 4 USC 1 § 8;

(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

Her briefs were not decorated with an American flag. They were blue, with stars, and not 50 of them, and no stripes of any kind.
