Some questions for tonight
We haven't done a Ten Questions thread for a while. What the heck...

1) Who is your favorite Air America host?
2) Someone gifted you five pounds of Kobe beef (non-beef-eaters: substitute any other really expensive ingredient, but tell us what it is) with directions to serve it at your dinner party on Saturday night. How will you cook it?
3) President Kerry wants you to be in his cabinet. You can't turn him down but you can select your post. What post do you want to hold? (Remember, a president can invent new cabinet posts for his administration, so if you want to be the Secretary of Renewable Energy you can.) And what do you want to accomplish in your first term?
4) What do you wear at work?
5) What would you wear at work in your dream job?
6) Printers: laser or inkjet?
7) I would take up arms if anyone released a cover of this song...
8) If you could go back to any year in history, which one would it be and why?
9) What did you want to be when you grew up, and how far is that from what you do now?
10) Do you know anyone who owns an Anvil?

1. Answers
1. Fave AA host: have only heard Majority Report, so that one (had to listen over my husband's comments and cheers-my laptop doesn't have enough oomph to play the broadcast)

2. 5 lbs. of organic beef raised by my neighbor-Slow roast it with onions and garlic

3. Cabinet post in Kerry's Administration: Assistant Secretary of Peace, with Kucinich as the Secretary

4. Wear to work-jeans and shirts, baseball hat with company logo (a sort of uniform though not provided by a uniform company)

5. Wear to work in dream job-anything comfortable

6. Printers-inkjet

7. Cover of a song-Nights in White Satin

8. Go back to any year-in my lifetime, 1964 (to visit NJ and observe my future husband in his native habitat) In any time frame-1860 so I could hear the Lincoln-Douglas debates

9. What I wanted to be when I grew up-always said a secretary, and, after a detour of several decades, that's what I became.

10. Anvil. Yes, my husband. What do you need pounded?

1) Who is your favorite Air America host? While I have issues with her style, I do like the fire of Randi Rhodes.
2) Someone gifted you five pounds of Kobe beef (non-beef-eaters: substitute any other really expensive ingredient, but tell us what it is) with directions to serve it at your dinner party on Saturday night. How will you cook it? I'm assuming these are steaks. I would sear both sides quickly and leave the middle rare. Seasoned VERY simply with salt and pepper.
Secretary of Labor. I'd like to work toward every employee having access to health care, a raised minimum wage and increased opportunity for personal advancement through job training.
4) What do you wear at work? Monday-Thursday a shirt and tie. Fridays are casual, including jeans.
5) What would you wear at work in your dream job? Casual, including shorts.
6) Printers: laser or inkjet? I own an inkjet, but I'd love a color laser.
7) I would take up arms if anyone released a cover of this song... I love music, but I'd never get that pissed about a song.
8) If you could go back to any year in history, which one would it be and why? 1946. Just to experience that explosion of growth for our nation. Tremendously exciting. I'd also try to expand on the cautionary tales of Eisenhower (Military/Industrial Complex).
9) What did you want to be when you grew up, and how far is that from what you do now? 2nd Baseman for the Cardinals. I'm a state government drone now.
10) Do you know anyone who owns an Anvil? Personally? No. BUt I know where one is.
