How do I default my purchase to a gift card?

I cannot seem to figure this out and it's driving me MAD!

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

1. I used a gift card once

You need to enter the information online at the website. Go to "account settings" from the "my account" pull-down menu. You will see a "Gift Cards/Certificates" section on the right-hand side of that page. From there, you can log in and enter the info from the card.

Once you do that, any purchases you make get deducted from the gift card first and then to your default credit card when that is used up.

2. Hmmm...

I did all that, and it doesn't seem to have defaulted to my eGift Card.

The original balance is still in tact, thus allowing one to believe that it was charged to my Visa.

Bear with me here, lol!

How quickly did your balance post to the gift card after making a purchase...?

3. That's odd

When I did it, the book was deducted from the gift card balance right away.

Maybe you need to call customer service.

4. Yea, I just did...

He has said that it should have been instantaneous, however if it does not post within the hour to call them back immediately.

:sigh:

This technology stuff is supposed to SIMPLIFY my life, lol!
