Is it possible to be a Stoner without ever having touched the stuff? |
|
:smoke:
AAMOF, it was the Stoners - more than any other group - that I identified with in high school. I fancied myself a jock, but I knew I didn't have the skill or dedication to count myself among the Jocks. I was in the choirs, but there wasn't a choral equivalent of Band Geeks. I wasn't a Rocker (although DISCO SUCKS!), and I wasn't a Brain. Stoners were my kinda people.

I mean, Honorary Stoner, sure. But I think being a stoner is sort of a "buy the ticket, take the ride" sort of thing.

'Sokay, I'll take the title of Honorary Stoner, and I'll let you know when it changes.

2. I think so... it IS kind of a mindset and group of behaviors. |
|
. . . I've always thought of Wayne & Garth {WAYNE'S WORLD!!! WAYNE'S WORLD!!! EXCELLENT!!! EXCELLENT!!!) as stoners... though I don't think there was any hint or suggestion that they had actually done any drugs. . . If I were anything in high school, it was a Stoner... though I didn't try smoking dope until shortly after graduation. . . . . 'Course... I made up for that delayed participation with a fucking vengeance. . . . . . . Wait. . . . . . . . . . . Wut? . . . . . . I hope you and Mrs. V are doing well. . . .

She played the saxa-ma-phone.

6. Fast Times at Ridgemont High |
|
That came out after my time in in school life but I still crack up at Jeff Spicoli. So many kids know nothing about this movie.
Jeff Spicoli: What Jefferson was saying was, Hey! You know, we left this England place 'cause it was bogus; so if we don't get some cool rules ourselves - pronto - we'll just be bogus too! Get it?

I can't believe you have never seen that movie-it launched about a dozen careers and it was a very funny and at times sweet movie. Aloha, Mr. Hand!
