I just found a small lump on one of my testicles.
And I'm freaking out. I made a 10 am appointment for tomorrow and I could use all the good vibes you've got.

:scared:

But I'm glad that you discovered it and that you're getting it checked out. Whatever happens, that puts you ahead of the game. :yourock:

8. Wishing you well.
Hopefully, it's nothing major. I would be freaking out, too. But even in the worst case, things will probably still be okay

11. I had the same thing not long ago.
My wife noticed it one night and insisted I go see the doc. So there I am, laying on the table while doc and my wife are moving my equipment around feeling for the lump. Turned out to be a minor infection that medicine cleared up.

I don't know what would have happened had the doctor been female.

17. As long as you don't get excited...
...you don't have to tip them extra.

Context is everything. I've had one experience with a very hot medical professional conducting a regionally awkward examination of me. To "Only You"'s credit (I named it in honor of Smoky the Bear) all three of us maintained a professional demeanor.

12. (This is not medical advice)
I know someone who had a lump there and it turned out to be a cyst that cleared up on its own. There are many non-scary things this could be. I know it's hard not to worry, though. It's good you'll have it checked out soon and hopefully get some reassurance.

13. Good vibes for you, my dear Lucian...
Bodies are funny, lumpy things...

I hope your little lump turns out to be something minor and curable...

Do let us know, OK?

16. While you may be tempted to panic. I've had two of those in the past 25 years.
And both times it turned out to be nothing. This last one went away of its own accord without any follow up visits to the dermatologist. See someone, but remember there's a very good likelihood it's nothing.

18. How old are you? Probably a 'spermatocele'? I had one.
Felt the same way you do.
"Oh shit, it's cancer."
Nope.
Spermatoceles are benign.
Testicular cancer is rare in men over 30.
It's usually a young man's disease.
Take a look.

20. Sending vibes but do not despair. I know people who've had them
and they were fine. Could be all kinds of things, and even if the worst, it's more than 90% curable.

So hie thee to a doctor and report back.

23. Thanks everyone.
I got it checked out and the doctor couldn't even feel the lump (:eyes:). I can feel it and it's still there. What he recommended is to keep an eye on it and check back in a month to see if it grows.

So yesterday's visit solved nothing.

But I appreciated the vibes. :) :hi:
