I'm stealing that. My granny would have laughed at this picture and probably agree. She's gonna be 93 this year, she's got Alzheimer's but still has a wicked sense of humor. I miss "her".

...I was convinced that she was in there somewhere and had one-sided
conversations with her -- telling her all about my day or something
from the past that I had remembered. I still think that part of her
deeply sub-conscious mind "heard" that -- it had just lost all neural
connections to interact with the outside world other than passively.

I also read to her from her favorite childhood books (and mine) --
the Oz series of novels from Frank L. Baum.
