I use yellow squash, egg and flour, milk if you like.

Salt and pepper.

Deep fry.

Really good and you can trick your kids into eating squash.

Slice the squash thin, fries better.

5. Sort of.
The Squash I grow is a little rounder.

Maybe there is different kinds of yellow squash.

A one decent size squash sliced thin can feed a lot of people.

My neighbor called it Depression chicken, they ate a lot of it in the 1930's.

7. I always used corn meal and didn't deep fry, I shallow fry.

I love fried squash!

Those were the good old days, when we ate all that fried okra, fried squash, fried chicken, fried pork chops, fried chicken livers, and nobody thought a thing about it... :-)

13. When I was about 4 my parents often had squash on the menu for big family dinners with my proper
grandparents. I hated squash. I couldn't swallow it so I stuffed it in my cheeks and kept eating. By the end of a meal people would start calling me a chipmunk because of my distended cheeks! I still hate it.

15. Here's an even trickier way....
Grate a yellow quash into a mixing bowl. Add an egg and enough self-rising flour until a dough is formed. Drop by spoonful into hot oil until lightly browned. Kids love 'em.
