I'd say they're related...
Prayer is normally directed at God or some such in order to ask for help or whatever you need...
Meditation is more a quiet contemplation of the universe in order to appreciate it. I think.
But you could also see meditation as a sort of quiet introspective prayer...

6. I think meditation is a form of prayer. |

And to have a heart-felt prayer, you have to get kind of meditative, although a prayer can occur when you can't get into a meditative state, as well. Do you think being in an awsome place in nature in the middle of the night and feeling overcome with the wonder of God's Creation is a form of prayer, or meditation, or both?
I don't know what it is, in words, exactly.

is sending vibrations out into the universe and meditation is just observing the vibrations of the universe. But on the other hand, with some meditations you can do both. Just like some prayers.
