I just played 100 rounds on novice and actually finished with a winning record, though it went back and forth many times.

Finished with 33 wins, 29 losses and 38 ties.

4. it's all about streaking (get your mind out of the gutter)
you win a few in a row, the computer wins a few in a row and in between you tie a bunch of times. If you do the novice, the computer tells you what it thought you were going to play, so you can figure out what it's thinking to mount your own runs.

5. After 100 rounds against the novice computer...
I've got 37 wins, 28 ties, and 35 losses.

Two of those wins was by cheating, just because I wanted to see how the computer was thinking.
So really, we're all tied up.
