1. They were so expressive...
clearly they understand each other but I wonder how they picked up on inflection and hand movements at such a young age. CUTE!

2. I really don't believe that they could understand each other.
Babies are very good at emulating things. These kids had seen grown ups having similar conversations and most likely were trying to recreate them. If they were communicating, I'd imagine it was very simple communication like expressing how happy they were or something.
