7. Creatine is an amino acid |
|
athletic types take it after they excersize - it puts water in their muscles and helps their muscles recover after heavy strain.
It's not a steroid or a drug, but a naturally occuring amino acid that can be synthetically produced or found in meat.

What you're taking is Creatine Monohydrate which is a biological precursor to the substance creatine phosphate. The energy "currency" in each of your cells is something called ATP (it has unusually high energy bonds that can help drive forward necessary reactions in your body.) Creatine phosphate is one of the substances that phosphorylates ADP (the substance that results when ATP is used up) back into ATP so that it can be used again.
So theoretically, eating all that creatine monohydrate can elevate levels of creatine phosphate and help replenish your ATP supply. It also does other things, like drain water out of your muscles--so drink lots of fluids.
edit: spelling

13. Most fruit juice completely neutralizes creatine as well |
|
just so you know... if you mix it with juice, you're basically just drinking a waste product

17. cranberry and grape juices have plenty of citric acid in them |
|
not the levels that are in orange or grapefruit juices, to be sure, but they still have citric acid--you're better off with water

12. That's nonsense--creatine works to sever the ionic bonds |
|
between the organelles in the fat cells surrounding muscle. This allows the muscles to become uninhibited by constricting fat cells, and thus grow at a faster pace.
It's simple!

I'm glad I'm not in the room. I hear it gives you hellish gas. I doubt the whey and sugar would help.
And why aren't you working out fool!
