How many here have a DVR, I love mine. |

I never watch anything live anymore.
I have four episodes of Supernatural waiting for me.
I can record two shows at a time.
I am more selective in what I watch now.

Not interested in getting one. If I really want to watch a show, I can just try and find it on-line. The only shows I really watch are Glee and The Good Wife. Those are the only shows I really care about seeing, and the only shows I watch on-line.

Long time Tivo-user before that.
I have such odd tv-watching hours anymore.

like no commercials. I just started taping a lecture series on Northern Az. Univ. channel and the channel went off the air.

8. I watch more tv now because of it but I would have been online... |
|
my problem is when I do have time to watch tv, there isn't anything on that I want to see. The DVR changed that. I can record series or movies or cooking shows, lol, and now it seems I have something to see whenever I have the time. I still don't feel like I HAVE to watch any show in particular but it's nice to have a choice. And zipping through the commercials is great!
Enjoy!

9. I bought one just before the holidays |
|
I had one in the States but had been living (somehow :P) without one for almost 3 years. They've improved quite a bit in that span of time: now I can use the picture-in-picture while watching a recording, and the live channel is HD.
It's nice to not have to live by the live TV schedule.

We're getting a zillion channels with a special introductory deal from Uverse. I've introduced Mrs. Auggie to episodes of Batman with Adam West that we watch at night. So camp, so bad, and so really, really hilarious.

13. not yet -- I watch most of what I want on OnDemand |
|
so that has significantly reduced the urgency of getting DVR for me. There are a few shows that I'd like to watch that aren't OnDemand, but most of those are on Hulu. I will probably get it at some point, though.

I haven't seen any of this season, but that show is great fun

I have ATT UVERSE and my DVR can record four shows at once, has a 120 hour memory, can replay on any TV in my house. I loved my DVR until my 8year old Daughter learned how to use it. Suddenly that 120 hour memory doesn't seem so big. She has literally set up 70 hours of recording in one day, and I have to go in and delete them because she never watches them

18. Can't live without it! |
|
Not only do I never miss any of my shows anymore (while MG Jr. hogs the TV watching stuff on Nick), I don't have to watch any commercials ever again! Worth the price right there.
LOL we were at my mom's house the other day and MG Jr. was watching TV without the benefit of DVR--he kept forgetting that not only could he not fast forward through the commercials, he couldn't put the show on pause to go to the bathroom or rewind it to hear a line he missed the first time around.
One of the best inventions EVAR.
