Please, please, signal before you make your turn.
Why is that so hard for so many people to understand? :grr:

1. How is one supposed to talk on the phone and use the signal at the same time?
I've gotten in the habit of blowing my horn at people who are driving while on the phone.

20. I think tweeting the license plates of the bad drivers I see, might shame them into driving better.
And my coffee and ciggie actually make me a better driver: the coffee makes more more alert, and the ciggie calms me down

I'd be an even better driver if we had drive-thru daiquiri shops here in NC

27. Ever since I read on DU a few years ago that it's not illegal to moon people in Maryland,
I've wanted to try it while driving on the Baltimore-Washington parkway. That sounds more challenging than Pilates

10. The turn signal is NOT to tell me what you're DOING.
It's to tell me what you're GOING TO DO.

Teach your children...

I always use my blinkers when I do that, if I remember to

14. I love sitting in an intersection waiting for a car to come through it so I can turn.
To then watch it turn right because the driver couldn't be bothered with using the turn signal.

Drives me up the fucking wall.

16. Someone did that to me just this morning
after I decided to wait instead of zipping out in front of them. I faced into their lights as they turned, saying "Thanks for the signal, asshole!" ;)

Although the lack of signals pisses me off, it's not as long-lasting as the assholes whose driving ethic for parking is no more than "Pull in! Stop! Get out!" I'm going to have to use the camera on my phone sometime and go around the parking garage here, taking pics for youparklikeanasshole.com }(

CaliforniaPeggy (I think) inspired me to now write notes for those that purposely take up two spots to "protect" their precious over-price vehicle with: "If you had parked correctly, I wouldn't have scratched/dented your car. Have a nice day."

17. But how do you properly signal for...
...an Emergency Bat Turn?

Now you've got one hand on the Bat Steering Wheel and the other on the Emergency Bat Turn Lever. God only knows where Robin's hands are.

Just in case I want to make a left turn.
They're the hardest.
I'm a geezer.

29. Or when it's a luxury vehicle,
do as a friend that was on his bicycle once said to a woman in a convertible Mercedes that cut him off:

"Couldn't afford blinkers?!" She just glared at him, but it was satisfying to get a response }(

when making a left. Some people forget to turn them off or signal too soon.

28. Well, no, no, actually it was partially my fault, you see, but, uh, you were in the left hand lane

and you were signaling left, and I just more or less assumed you were going to turn left.

32. I don't. Yesterday I was making a left, someone came along signaling a right,

I waited til they had started to turn before I went.
