1. A friend brought us some stuff from her chest freezer
that was about to go out of date if not used soon, so we're having Stouffer's frozen lasagna. I got distracted and didn't get started cooking until late, so it's a good thing the kids don't have school tomorrow. Oy!

3. It was spaghetti & fresh-made marinara tonight
Also, the spaghetti was Ronzoni's "Garden Delight" 3-color (regular, spinach, tomato) and we do eat with our eyes, so I was in the mood for something that looked as good as it tasted.

5. Pork Tenderloin In The Slow Cooker
It is slathered in BBQ sauce, semi covered with a less sweet root beer, sprinkled with red pepper flakes. Makes great pulled pork by simmering it later in sauce of coice.

6. Thick cut oatmeal..
cooked very slowly on low heat in 2% milk, fresh ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, and pure vanilla extract. When it is done cooking, I will add blueberries, butter and brown sugar. It is cooking rite now.

This is one of my favorite meals.

14. It was so good.
I eat it at all times of the day and night. It really does have a familiar and comforting aroma to it. It is something I have eaten my whole life. I don't know how heart healthy it is considering I put a generous amount of butter in it. I am also a fan of farina cream of wheat made the same way.

But it will never taste as good as when mom used to make it for me.

12. Spinach salad w/baked, herbed salmon
I love my baby spinach salad with lots of mushrooms, tomatoes & bleu cheese.

The quinoa in the soup sounds like a great idea I'll have to try some time!
