1. Denny's is also good for the beer munchies |
|
Few people know that after 15 beers the beer munchies come a-calling. Probably the reason few people know that is that few people have drank 15 beers and survived or at least managed to retain consciousness. I am one of the lucky few, the proud, the hammered.
My 15 beers in one sitting days are over, though. I recently tried Denny's while I was sober. A lot of the Flying J truck stops have sold out their own restaraunts so that Denny's can move into them. I understand now why Denny's is such a popular place for the after hours partiers. You have to be fucked up in order to tolerate the food.

2. I used to tend bar in MIchigan and when we closed up, many nights the whole staff... |

. . . ...would go to a nearby Denny's (where we'd usually WAY overtip after watching people like the ones we had been "facilitating" treat the waitstaff like dirt -- we surmised because they didn't have any procreative "success" that night (let alone all other nights). . . I liked their salads (lotsa Thousand Island/lotsa croutons) and their hash browns (extra butter on the grill/extra cheese) -- but you're right -- the majority of their food was mainly good only for the non-choosy among the early-bird special crowd -- or the hammered horde. . . . Good to see you, Tobin. . . . :hi: . . .
