Maybe longer.

It is just me here most of time.

I forgot how cool a window fan can keep the house.

Now when it its really humid, it will be ac time.

I am so glad for this old pre- ac built house.

I really hate paying big light bills.

1. i get the ac/humid thing. that is a for sure. i have lots of open windows....

and that is working. as long as colder in night, takes quite a while for the house to heat up in the day. we have big stone. so will stay cool quite a while. when it is getting hot, starts cooling at night again. makes for cooking dinner really uncomfortable though. have a fan for kitchen

that all being said, lol

what i wanted to say

it seems like the longer can do without AC, it is not needed. but once the AC is on, stays on all summer, cause cant readapt to this temp again.

so i hear ya

not turning mine on unless well over 90

We have no AC

Later may be coming sooner than we like

3. I have a 5000 btu window AC in my computer room.
I turned it on today because this room has lousy ventilation and the computers heat it up. the rest of the house is still quite comfy with just the ceiling fans.

23. Do you live in Georgia?

As of 4:50, my outside thermometer is reading 90 degrees in the shade. The local TV weather people kept stating that today was going to be beautiful and sunny. Sure, it you like to sweat, it is a beautiful day. I have had the AC on all day, but if I want to drive anywhere, I am screwed because my car AC quit last week. And it is just too hot to drive to the garage to see what the problem is.

12. Nothing but fans here, so far
I always try to hold off on the ac until June 1. We only have window units--run them at 80--just to keep the humidity level down. We run fans along with the ac. Of course, it doesn't begin to cool off here until October.

16. I can last until May.
Now May, is another month.

I am trying to heat proof myself in case of a hurricane.

We were lucky the last one was in September, August would have been a killer.

18. Me, too.
I can handle the heat and humidity during the daytime, but I am already having a difficult time as it is trying to get a decent night's sleep. I broke down two days ago, when the night temperatures stayed in the 60s. I don't sleep well when it's hot in the bedroom, especially when I'm already dealing with hot flashes.
