The annual "trof's Marriage Anniversary Post". 42 years and counting.
At 11:00 A.M. CDT tomorrow, it will be 42 years of (mostly) married bliss.
:-)

St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Crystal Lake, IL.
The Rev. Marx A. Jones presiding.

The Right Reverend Jones got a teeny bit tipsy at the reception and sideswiped a parked car on his way out of the parking lot.
;-)

This union resulted in one much beloved daughter, who brought an equally beloved son-in-law into the family in 1997.
He was her high school sweetheart, and we knew early on that he was destined to be the father of our grandchildren.
Sometimes things just work out the way you hoped they would.

And that union brought us Jack (soon to be 9) and Charlotte (soon to be 4). They're a constant source of delight, wonderment, and humorous comments.

So...life is good.
If I make it to 2019 (Who knows? Maybe? Could be.) we'll celebrate our Golden.
Wish us luck.
:hi:

4. Just curious. How old were you when you got married?
I was 27.
Miz t. was 23.
Her Cajun family had given her up as an 'old maid' when she didn't marry within a year or two out of high school.
