Nothing subliminal about my local radio station's agenda ......
OK, it's Friday, it's April, London police on high alert as usual.

7am wake up call: radio switches on, Elvis singing 'We're caught in a trap, I can't walk out'....followed by unidentified crooner 'When Irish Eyes are Smiling'....then it's advert time:

"Seen something suspicious? Strange new neighbours acting oddly in your street? Worried about flying abroad this Easter? Then contact the Anti-Terrorist Police's new hotline on ++++++++++..."

Dee Jay then says: "and in view of the 9/11 investigation hearings in Washington D C next week at which National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice will testify under oath, here's a song for US President George W Bush"...

Slight pause. I'm wondering what gem coming up, mentally scrolling for that apposite number. And it's..... Fool on the Hill!

Couldn't have done it better if I'd tried...

Who says Brits' early morning satire is dead?

3. Could you call them up for me and request
"What's So Funny (Bout Peace, Love, and Understanding)?"

If he comes to visit again, request the Jam's "Strange Town." I love the thought of W with blisters on his feet, tryin' to find a friend in Oxford Street.

(He's really a spaceman from a u.f.o.)
