I think I'm having the most amicable divorce ever
me and the wife have been talking all day.We get along better now than we ever did while together.

Anyways..we are divvying up stuff and working through all the inevitable divorce issues and we are just breezing through this.
She gets Katie and oreo..I get Buddy Guy.
She gets all the livingroom stuff including the high def tv and theater system and I get the recliner and the bedroom entertainment system which is the older non high def tv but my kickass stereo system with my custom woofer cerwin vega speakers.

I get the king bed mom gave us and she gets the other king.

MOST IMPORTANT

We are BOTH going to help her son with the payments on this place so it isn't lost.we owe 70k on this place but it is appraised at close to 150k..we would rather see the kid get a good start so we are going to start a new bank account and we are all going to pitch in to make sure he can keep this place. He has two friends who are going to move in..three bedroom place..and it will all work out.

I love her..she loves me...we are trying so hard to be civil and work together.

Oh and she told me to take whatever kitchen stuff I want up to all of it.

She has taken a transfer to the other side of the state that they have been begging her to take for a year...I'm moving back into semi civilization where I have always wanted to be...in town..not on top of a mountain.

I'm scared but excited..this may be the best thing we could have dome

1. They don't all have to be bad. Sometimes you just grow in different directions

My X and I got married very young. After 18 years, we each had different priorities. We remained friends till she died.

It can happen.

2. My first divorce (actually, my ONLY divorce) started out amicable enough
But as soon as I stopped giving her everything she wanted, it turned really ugly really fast.

Hope that doesn't happen to you.
