Lily, Rosemary And The Jack Of Hearts |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AQJZys0cvIThis song is a brilliant hallucinatory dream, with characters that transform between playing-cards, carnies, and frontier towbnsfolk

Hey, I always liked that song, but it just seemed so strange to be on Blood on the Tracks. If I recall correctly, it was the first track on the second side of the album, just seemed stuck in there among what to me is the heartbreak of Blood on the Tracks.

3. I'd say it fits thematically |

Betrayal, double-adultery (ok, so Lily+Jack isn't technically adultery but still...) resulting in a murder - it fit's, even if the tone is a bit more tongue-in-cheek than the rest of the album.

4. One of my favorites on the album. I never really considered it that surreal though. |

It sounds like a pretty straight-forward story to me, if one that uses a few metaphors to compare people to playing cards and whatnot.
