A friend and I started a fad in high school just for the fun of it.

It wasn't that hard to do.

A lot of people are really sheep, and will do anything to be cool.

1. I once tried really really hard to pioneer the "Amish Punk" look

For a while, everyone in the area knew me by appearance, if not by name

But, alas, "Amish Punk" did not catch on as a cool style: I had no imitators

So I concluded that my fellow Americans have absolutely no fashion sense, and I moved on, into other pioneering efforts, which taught me even more about my fellow Americans, I am afraid

8. Thinking pilots are cool

It would be easy...get people to start scrounging for used (free) newspapers, and putting their plates on the floor when they are done eating.

9. I would like a baseball cap without the brim (not a yarmulke, either)-

I'd really like something like that- I like the feeling of a tight-fitting head covering, but the pesky brim just gets in the way.

That could totally catch on, I think.
