1. No city south of the Mason-Dixon line should have one

2. If this ever became a rule, Wisconsin would gladly take the Stars...
If I were In charge, I'd rename them the Northstars just to piss off the state of Minnesota. I would publically say "Consider this revenge for Brett Favre."

10. So DC shouldn't have hockey?
Nice. Go jump in a lake. Better yet, maybe you should tell Alex Ovechkin that? The fact that the Caps always sell out now clearly shows your theory is correct. Ugh. This is so stupid- it's played indoors so what the climate is doesn't matter. In fact , I'm sure many people in Phoenix like the coolness on hot days.

3. I once visited Phoenix. I sincerely doubt that they have ice in any reasonable measure.
And if they do, it must be worth its weight in gold.

11. Considering they have firepits
Everywhere in Phoenix due to the very cool nights the desert gets , you might be wrong about that. Not sure why people don't know that deserts get downright cold at night even in summer

6. Lots of northern transplants.
I refer to Phoenix as "Chicago West", given the numbers of former Chicagoans who live there, and have brought Chicago-originated businesses there. And, it's not just the transplants. Lots and lots of Snowbirds from the upper Midwest, Northeast, and Canada spend their winters there. It's a way of getting to see the Blackhawks, Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Penguins, etc. without having to leave town.

7. It was still a good game
Couldn't get a shot in there in the closing minutes. Lots of power plays.
