Actor Nicolas Cage arrested in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Authorities say actor Nicolas Cage has been arrested in New Orleans on charges of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff's office says Cage was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Cage has been a frequent visitor to New Orleans, where he has owned property and shot movies in the past.

New Orleans police did not immediately disclose details about his arrest. An agent for Cage did not immediately return a phone call Saturday.

10. Let's wait. Perhaps Nick Cage is capable of feeling remorse.

7. Great post title
When I first posted, I was going to say something like, "It took New Orleans to get CAGE arrested" but couldn't make it snappy enough. Your straightforward awe was just right.

9. This explains it
"As TMZ first reported, that discussion with police included Cage daring cops to arrest him ... which they eventually did."

One Jazz Fest weekend several years back I was bitten by a NOPD horse. His rider, the cop, looked at me and threatened to arrest me for tormenting his horse.

I apologized and continued walking down Bourbon Street, holding a napkin against my arm where the horse had bitten me and drawn blood.

Don't ever dare a cop in New Orleans. Folks have been lost for weeks at Central Booking.
