Now, I don't watch much tv.
So when I started working out at a health club, to improve leg strength, (by usuing a recumbent bike ) I deliberately
took a machine that had no tv screen ...
..So ..I worked out on that one for 9 months and it broke down..so I had to go to one with a tv screen..Well, whatcha going to do for a half an hour..?? Since now I had a screen, is anything worth while??
..So.. I tried the news..nope..too many visuals that are..well..no . no no..
..sports..nope..I wanted something that would make me smile..and I didn't have to pay close attention to.
especially since I was not interested in the details anyway..(I don't need to put those things in my ears)
....and I wanted to continue listening to some kind of music..so..
they often pipe in 70s and 80s music at this club... I'll listen to that..
...I figured out that some kind of travel show would work..you know..long shots of mountains and rivers..slow movement of camera to follow..I need to add, I got no cable at home, so this is kinda an adventure..all those stations..yea..hang in there,... there is a point to all of this..
..In channel surfing I found one that does it. I turned to something called "Animal Planet"..I didn't know there was anything like that..but which show is right for me?...something about big cats? no..something about vicious river animals??..no. fish??..no..
.and then I found it..the answer...kinda just fell in place at 6am one morning..central time.. .

The perfect show for me is something called..."Dogs 101"..
...visuals of all kinds of dogs, you name em, they got em..
..puppies, kids playing with puppies, people playing with dogs..and people talking about them.. But what I saw, and almost didn't believe, was that everyone, seemed to be happy.. really happy. kinda like they love their pets ..
Not some kind of fake love, real love. So when I watch this, I am happy too.. You can't help but simile with some dog going up to the camera, kinda licking the camera, or licking some kid, or its owner,or a bunch of puppies running around having fun,
and guess what...the dogs are usually happy too. (I smile thinking about this..as I write) Today I saw a couple of people holding a group of 4 or 5 dogs..westies...some kind of cute, short dog that runs around, climbs ladders, goes thru tunnels, and loves kids.
..Now, I look forward to turning on that station and seeing some breed I have never heard of, finding people that enjoy that paraticular group of dogs, and smiling along with them.
