33. I was SUPPOSED to see Spacemen 3 back in '88
But thanks to the Reagan administration, they wouldn't allow Sonic Boom in because he had a drug conviction...was supposed to be "Spacemen 3" opening for the "Butthole Surfers" (yee ha!!!). The Buttholes still played (great show) but had the HORRIBLE band "Band of Susans" replace Spacemen 3...

Edited on Fri Apr-02-04 10:05 AM by demnan
that song started going in my head. Got another one. Do you remember Janis Joplin and that Trucking Company album? That's a good one too. Also Mountain.

On edit:

I'm old and straight or I might have remembered right off the bat: Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are you Experienced? Got to be the best.

18. Gonna Lay Around the Shanty and Put a Good Buzz On......
Edited on Fri Apr-02-04 11:06 AM by GumboYaYa
:)

<ON EDIT>

Jonathan Edwards
Shanty
Gonna sit down in the kitchen
And fix me something good to eat
And make my head a little high
And make this whole day complete
Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama
And put a good buzz on

Well pass it to me baby
Pass it to me slow
We'll take time out to smile a little
Before we let it go
Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama
And put a good buzz on

Well there ain't nothin' to do
And there's always room for more
Fill it, light it, shut up
And close the door
Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama
And put a good buzz on

We gonna sit around the kitchen
Fix us somethin' good to eat
And make ourselves a little high
And make the whole day complete
Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama
And put a good buzz on
Cuz we gonna lay around the shanty, mama
And put a good buzz on

Cloud Nine!

Cloud Nine!
You're a million miles from reality...reality.

Kind of like Revolution #9, only dreamier. Once listened to it on acid. It's a little out there.
