Making angel hair pasta with vegan sausage and mushroom marinara. With wine. |

Some of the wine may have gotten into me.
Wait, this isn't my Twitter feed...
On edit: Added marinated mushrooms with garlic.

1. Sounds good, can't go wrong with mushrooms and wine |
|
Black bean soup for us tonight. I miss the dinner threads, I used to get good ideas from them.

2. What exactly is "vegan sausage?" |
|
Sounds like a non sequitur to me.

3. Brand name of sausage, please. |

My hubby's gone vegetarian and I'm getting bored.

5. Morningstar and Boca both have vegetarian sausage. |
|
I have had Morningstar's Italian sausage. It's pretty close to the real thing.

9. See #7. Plus the Trader Joe's Italian Sausage is great as kwassa said. |
|
Also, Tofurky makes an incredible Bratwurst substitute called 'Beer Brats.' They are fantastic. You can find them at Whole Foods and many chains.

7. We've had that, and it is very good. But I used Gimme Lean Sausage Style plus Trader Joe's products. |
|

I sizzled the Trader Joe's Marinated Mushrooms With Garlic in a pan with Trader Joe's Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Then I sizzled the chopped Gimme Lean with a LOT of Two Buck Chuck and various additional spices.
Then I combined it all with Trader Joe's Spaghetti Sauce with Mushrooms, plus a jar of Trader Joe's Bruchetta.
Simmered it until my wife came home from her music lesson, while simmering myself with a little more Two Buck Chuck Cabernet.
Yum.
Trader Joe's Rocks.

I love their sauces.
Due to local liquor laws, they can only sell groceries, no booze at their stores here. They do very well, anyway.
Sounds like a great meal.
