Funny "Won't Get Fooled Again" moment on the radio this AM. |
|
I guess because yesterday was April Fool's Day, one of the stations that I listen to on my way to the train was playing "Won't Get Fooled Again" but The Who.
Here's the funny part. During the instrumental bit that comes before the part where Daltrey sings "Meet the new boss.....Same as the old boss", the DJ mixed in the audio clip of w* trying to relate an old "Texas saying"....I quote.
"Fool me once, shame on................you? It fooled me can't get fooled again."
It was great. Really got me day off to a terrific start for two reasons. The first was, it made fun of Chimpboy. The second.....I got to listen to the Who first thing in the morning.

I'm surprised it took someone so long to do that.

5. What's even funnier is... |
|
...that the bush campaign used that song at rallies in 2000 and edited out the "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" line.
