Hi Chaps,
I'm from Blighty & I was wondering if any of you ever listen or watch the BBC. What do you think of it? I realise that I will only get responses from a self-selecting group. I suppose I should post the same on free republic or similar.
It's one of the things I'm quite proud of (along with universal free health care &, until Tony got rid of it, free university).
I've not seen much of your American TV, but I did watch a bit of Fox News just after the war "ended". Blimey, that was weird - and just a little scary.

1. BBC/Reuters/Deutsche Welle |

These are my news sources. Frankly, I cannot stand the domestic news organizations.
Most people who post on this board use sources from other countries or the Yahoo! compendium. And they dislike the American media as well.
And FOX News is generally regarded by sane citizens of the United States to be a mouthpiece for the nationalist contingent running the country.

2. I have two sources ... |
|
1. BBC World News on National Public Radio. Here in Boston, it's on at 9am and 1pn, but with a 1 hour delay.
2. I have the BBCAmerica channel and at 6pm, they have world news. I've watch it when a major world news event happens, they coverage is much better and there are times where the "American" angle to the story is irrelevent.
I wish I could get CNNI. I've heard it's a lot different from the US version. Or at least the CBC.
Cheers
