20 years ago or more, a friend and I are driving on the outskirts of Cape May, NJ and
she pointed out this ENORMOUS (a block-or-two-long) skeletal rusting steel girder
framework and told me that it was a decades-in-creation work-in-progress by a local
sculptor.

I was in fucking AWE!!!! (I was also moderately-to-severely stoned.)

I was quiet for a good 10 minutes or more, thinking about the intensity and the
dedication and the obsession and the passion of this mad artist that was needed
to create such a piece -- probably for no other reason than "It HAD to be created."
