Jazz Fest has become, well, kind of touristy. Alas, the FQF was held earlier in April. :(

but many others are starting to balk not only at the fifty bucks (in my day, around 1990, it was 12) but at the preponderance of out-of-town acts. It is our ("our" even though I left in the early '90s) firm belief that NO and La. can easily produce enough quality acts to fill even a large, multi-day festival.

16. Going to NOLA for a few days mid May.

First time I've been back since my U. of Alabama days in the early 60s.
Only 3 hours from us.
Plan to see the WW II museum among other things.
