Dog Names-Need your help!
Need the help for names on our 2 new pekingese pups. I figured the great imaginations of DUers would be able to help.
The male is the black one with a blue eye and a brown eye. Weight is 6 lbs. The female's weight is 41/2 lbs. and is the boss. They are siblings. They are 12 weeks old and from a rescue. We drove 515 miles to pick them up in Missouri. They were not from a puppy mill, but from a breeder who gave them up to a rescue. Not up to the breeders show qualities.

16. Andy and Nico

Male pup - my first thought was "Panda", Andy is a cute panda-ish name.

Female pup's coloring reminds me of a Vervet monkey .... Vervet- made me think of Velvet Underground and Nico. Andy (Warhol) and Nico go together. :)

Edited on Mon May-02-11 01:47 AM by TuxedoKat
I just realized the first one is a Tuxedo Dog -- so he needs a really classy name. Beaux or Tux? He also looks like he is wearing a mask, Zorro? Bandit? Not sure about the little girl, she's so beautiful though, how about Belle or Bella? There you go, Beaux and Bella. Beautiful and beautiful!

47. Realize that if you name her Belle:
1. Every female dog in the dog park and on the street will answer when you call (my friend has a dog her daughters named Bella, and she says that's what all dogs are being called these days. Or at least all dogs owned by teenaged girls)

2. Everyone will assume that you, yourself, are a Twilight fan. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm just sayin'

46. Miss Zoo and Showme
In honor of their home state.

We've always had dachshunds, and named them after weiners (Frank, Oscar). That wouldn't work in this case.
